Target a NICHE - Then Build Your Online Community!

Let’s just imagine that you have found a niche (fishing) that is popular, has

a lot of high converting information products and people who’ll buy from those

niches are very loyal to that specific outdoor interest ‘hobby’ niche.
QUESTION: What would then be a good way to “shoot fish in a barrel?”

i.e. get sales conversions with that group of folk?
As an affiliate marketer, your goal is to “go fishing where the fish

are,”  but if you are a very smart marketer, you will bring the fish to you!
Heck! OK, let me explain this traffic-attraction thing.
IMAGINE you are an affiliate of various sports-fishing accessories and you want to

find some potential customers. You would sign up for social sites

like *Facebook and *Myspace to find other like-minded people..  (people

who mention that they love boating/fishing, etc., in their profile) and you build a

relationship with them.
I am sure you have already been through the wringer on Myspace

when people sign up to be your friend and the first message they

send you is “buy my product.”  Yuck.
Don’t do that. Find out about them, where they angle, how often they

fish, etc. Mention your blog in passing or somewhere on your

profile. Then repeat for every social community that exists with

people who are interested in fishing or a site that is devoted to sport-fishing.
Now what if you owned a community site where fishing fanatics could hang out and brag

about their last 20lb catch or ask why they keep getting frustrated, wet and

losing tackle? What if you could email all of your members and tell them

how the New Brand of ROD got you out of trouble in rough seas last week

and you toss them an affiliate link?
